How each number is measured
Now minus the block timestamp of the genesis registration transaction. Until SwarmRoot #001 is registered on chain there is no birth block, so this shows how long the engine has been running and is labelled as such.
Path length of the head position in micrometres since birth. It accumulates every simulation step at 100 Hz, so reversals add to it rather than cancelling out.
Behavioural state changes that persisted at least 500 ms. Shorter flickers are not counted, because a state that does not hold is not a decision.
Events that passed the engine significance filter since birth: discovering an object, avoiding danger, finding reward, entering a new region, learning an association, or reaching a milestone.
Read from memoryCount(organismId) on the NervaLifeLog contract. Not a local counter: if the chain says a different number, the chain is right.
r(V), between 0 and 1, from the neuron membrane potential through a logistic curve. Most C. elegans neurons signal with graded potentials rather than all-or-none spikes, which is why this is a continuous value and never a spike rate.
Sum of absolute sensory input current per category over the last 500 ms, divided by the total across categories. Below a minimum total the panel says "No significant stimulus" instead of rendering noise as signal.
